United Way is a national network of nearly 1,300 local organizations that work to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good life: good health, a quality education that leads to a stable job and enough income to support a family through retirement.
Local United Ways create long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. Common focus areas include helping children and youth achieve their potential, promoting financial stability and independence, and improving people’s health.
LDI has a long lasting relationship with The United Way. More than 80 percent of LDI employees donated money to charities through The United Way last year. This is just one example of our large commitment to improving the communities we serve. We encourage our employees to donate what they can afford; whether its time, money, clothes, food, or anything else that might benefit others, to help our surrounding communities.
